We believe very strongly in the value of theatre education for students of all ages, and regret having to
cancel a class due to bad weather. In the past, we have followed the plan of the Winston-Salem Forsyth County
Schools; however, this automatically canceled classes when, by mid afternoon, snow had melted and roads were
clear. Therefore, our policy has changed in an attempt to better serve our students. A decision on cancellation
will be made by noon on a snowy day, and parents should call Twin City Stage Education Department
(336-748-0857 x 204) to know if classes will be held.
In the rare event that snow begins in the afternoon, classes may be cancelled if it is felt that the roads would deteriorate before our dismissal time. Parents and adult class members should always use their best judgment with regard to driving in the snow and ice. Our calendar allows for a few make-up days due to cancellations, but bad weather is an act of nature and not under the control of Twin City Stage or the Education Director, and we may not be able to make up every class.
Mainstage Shows: We will cancel a performance only if the Governor has declared a State Of Emergency for our area. Check local television channels for cancellation notice. If a show is cancelled, there will be the option to receive a refund or switch to another performance. If the show is performed normal exchange fees will prevail.
